Emerald City is easily one of the best cafes in town. Their coffee is a staple of my commute and the food is reliably delicious. The staff is prompt, cooperative, and knowledgeable. It's a great place to meet up with a friend or to get some work done. Take a minute, order some banana bread or a chicken pesto sandwich, and enjoy the space.

This place is a hidden gem near the El. It’s got everything you want, and more! It’s cozy, comfortable places to lounge, and even has a wide selection of board games/puzzles. Delicious coffee, and their date squares might be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. It’s also vegan and gluten-free :)

Love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. Old wooden insides and pleasant baristas make this one of the coolest in the city. Warm and inviting.
